Description

The Business Process Manager is responsible for consistently executing a Process Excellence strategy across the Company. Works with a team of subject matter experts in the identification and execution of process improvement projects that sustainably improve client and employee experiences while enhancing overall company performance; aligned to Agile ways of working. This position requires leadership, change management and technical competence to influence outcomes across the Company.

Activities

  • Lead Process Improvement projects that deliver measurable business results, based on a pre-defined benefits framework.
  • Builds commitment to business process management and improvement through a focus on effective process development, change management and implementation.
  • Analyses and identifies process improvement opportunities and partners with key stakeholders to scope and ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Serves as a technical leader in the deployment of Process Excellence through the application of process improvement methodologies that are aligned to Agile ways of working, including customer journey mapping and user stories.
  • Works with business leadership to ensure process improvement projects achieve intended results, where risks are proactively identified and mitigated, and benefits are validated.
  • Works with SMEs to optimize standard operating procedures, ensuring process efficiency and effectiveness in a highly regulated environment.
  • Provides expertise and share best practices regarding Process Improvement tools, methodologies.
  • Working with the CFO define and implement the strategic plan of the QA team in line with Company strategic goals and priorities. Evaluate the success of the division and re-define strategic plans accordingly.
  • In consultation with CFO, introduce metrics to enable the strategic tracking, reporting and assessment of business plans.
  • Drive business and budget analytics to enhance company performance.
  • Work across the business to facilitate the development, co-ordination of initiatives on behalf of the CFO.
  • Set Quality Objectives for various divisions.
  • Set departmental goals and KPIs.
  • Effective leadership of the QA group and creation of a positive culture.
  • Effective cross functional collaboration.
  • Assist the CFO in supporting good corporate governance, as required.
  • Effectively manage all staff to achieve the departmental goals and culture behaviours.
  • Positively engage staff, minimizing turnover and maximizing retention.
  • Ensure all team members have a high level of awareness of P&C policy, systems, Cogstate specific processes and follow them at all times.
  • Undertake annual performance reviews with all team members.
  • Manage serious disciplinary and performance issues, documenting relevant information and partnering with P&C to conduct performance management.
  • Ensure all team members’ complete organization training programs as required.
  • Conduct continuous staff development and succession planning.

Requirements

  • A degree in a science or engineering discipline
  • Qualified internal auditor
  • Previous management experience
  • Proven work experience as a Process Engineer.
  • Experience with process simulations and standard operating procedures.
  • Advanced technical skills.
  • Analytical thinker.
  • Familiarity with state health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to project manage
  • Experience in Clinical Trials and Healthcare is desirable
  • Experience in QA and/or Internal Audit an advantage

  • Strategic, creative thinking and planning skills: anticipating resource requirements, identifying opportunities for improvements and customer added value and leading improvement initiatives.
  • Aptitude for understanding and leading one’s work from Industry, Regulatory and Quality, Commercial and Financial concepts.
